EduLib announces Muse® Proxy 3.1 Build 02, that is available for download, starting 17th of April 2014. Besides constantly growing the online samples of Muse Proxy Source Profiles, the new incremental Build of Muse® Proxy features a Referrer login module, Source outbound requests keeping the inbound IP, non-URI Source REFERER field and proves its compatibility with JDK 1.8.
For the new Muse® Proxy 3.1 Build 02 version we offer a Free 30 Day Trial period to fully evaluate the new and improved Muse® Proxy. You can request a Trial License Key by simply filling in the trial form.
Muse® Proxy is a highly customizable multi-platform proxy server, easy to use and configure, acting successfully as a gateway to authenticated restricted content, rewriting web server, Web Access Management (WAM), proxy server and reverse proxy.
In a Software integration scenario Muse Proxy fills in the big gap of the subscribed full-text links availability returned to the end-user by a distant discovery/federated search system. Through integration API Muse Proxy mirrors the HTTP session from the server side to the user’s browser side, allowing seamless navigation from server’s results into the subscribed content.
In this new build a new Muse Proxy Application login module for performing authentication based on a referrer URL is available to perform authentication against the origin referrer URL – it is advisable to combine this with the IP authentication module or a distinct authentication as referrer is a light authentication. This new login module allows for a simple pass-through from an organization portal to their corresponding Muse Proxy application.
The source type requests coming inbound on an associated IP (or its equivalent FQDN) are now leaving for the target using that certain IP as source without the need for explicit proxy chaining set-up. This brings an easier configuration step for multiple IPs scenarios.
More information regarding the above mentioned features and fixes, made in Muse® Proxy 3.1 Build 02 are available in Muse® Proxy Release Notes PDF Document.
