Muse servers not running after closing the console.

The /etc/rc.d/rc.muse startup script uses the "/bin/sh" shell to run. This shell prevents the processes started in background to run after the user session is terminated and this is a known fact for the Sun OS 5.9.
The solution for this is to change the default shell to "bash" (e.g. replace in the /etc/rc.d/rc.muse file the first line "#!/bin/sh" with "#!/bin/bash"), which allows the processes to continue in background after the user session ends.
